I know a woman who was very poor. Her husband took another wife and her suffering increased. She did all sort of menial jobs to survive with her seven children. She kept herself pure and remained steadfast in the Lord.
To cut the long story short, she saw her children through school and God changed her story in a very surprising way. Today, her children are successful. Someone who fetched firewood in bushes now travels to the UK on holiday.
My God is still in the business of changing the story of people. He knows how to take people from the backside of wilderness and put them on the throne.
Psalm 113:8 says, "He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!"( NLT).
Those who tell you God doesn't prosper people nor turn misfortune to fortune have lied to you. Human wisdom cannot suffice. In a bid to sound politically correct, they try removing God from the equation of our lives yet, without him we can do nothing.
I have seen those who could never have made it by human power and wisdom lifted by God. Are you still in doubt about what this God can do?
Life may not be as you desire it today. You may be trapped in that lowly and shameful state where suffering is the order of the day. Know that it is not the will of God for your life to remain that way.
You can go to God and cry the cry of Jabez: "...Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested" (1 Chronicles 4:10).
