Romans12:6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well... NLT

James Audubon was a lover of art. He was gifted in drawing and painting but early in life, he didn't pay much attention to his innate gifting. He worked in several places but he wasn't fulfilled. He resigned from those jobs to focus on his passion. He decided to draw and paint birds in America. Much later, his popular paintings named "Birds of America" sold for over a million dollars.

One reason why people struggle and fail in life is because they fail to stay in the area of their God-given ability. Apostle Paul made it clear that we all have been given certain gifts to do certain things well. Trying to do what you're not gifted to do will surely lead to frustration. This applies to all areas of life including ministry. Do not try to function as a Pastor if your calling is purely evangelistic. The former is an aquarium keeper while the latter is a fisher of men.

In the race of life, we all have a lane. In track events, it is wrong to cross from one lane to another. Even if you cross the finish the line before others, as long as you're on the wrong lane, you will be penalized by the umpire. The key to overcoming your struggles, frustration and persistent lack of fulfilment is to discover what you can do well and start doing it. Proverbs27:8 "As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place". God has not sent anyone into the world as a nonentity. Nonentities are not born, they're made. Take your time to discover the very thing you're gifted to do and build your life around it.
