2 Corinthians 6:14 *Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness*?
The highest form of love we can show to unbelievers is to preach Christ to them persuasively. Marriage is not an expression of love to unbelievers.
When God saw that mankind was doomed for eternal destruction, he was compelled by love to send his son to die for humanity.
John 3:16 says, *"For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life*".
From the text above, we can see clearly that love propelled God to ensure mankind is redeemed through Christ. He did not start a marriage program rather a redemption program.
John 5:13 sheds more light about how Christ expressed his love for sinners: *"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends*". Again, you will agree with me that love birthed the sacrifice of Christ on the cross that gave us redemption.
God could have started a marriage program to redeem mankind or he could have made a way for unbelievers to be saved through inter-religious marriage but he didn't.
*If you truly love an unbeliever, you will express that love through the preaching of the gospel to him/her not through marriage*.
Marriage is not the same as evangelism neither should you marry to convert the unbeliever. You are not a converter, the Holy Spirit does that by convicting the sinner of his sins.
*In our love for the unsaved, there is no provision for marital union. That is where love comes with boundaries*.
We can give to them If they are in need and preserve them from hurt but the highest form of love we can show to them is to tell them about Jesus Christ.
Father, I receive the grace to love umbelievers the way you want them to be loved by telling them about Christ in the name of Jesus Christ.
