LIVE BY THE WORD NOT BY BREAD ALONE

September 27, 2014 · Lanre Oyeleke · 143 views

Matt4:4 -But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

You must understand that you are a tripartite being, you are a spirit with a soul living in a body. Your body eats food, the food for your soul is information while the food for your spirit-man is God's word. F.F. Bosworth said people feed their bodies with three hot meals daily but feed their spirit-man with one cold snack a week.

The strength-quality of your spirit-man is the determinant of the quality of life you will live. Your life is a reflection of what is resident in your spirit-man. Just as physical food is to the body so is God's word to your spirit-man. God's word is a complete class of spiritual food to nourish your spirit-man.

When the storms of life comes, the quality of what is in your inner-man is what will sustain you. Don't understimate the place of study&meditation. Meditation secretes the life in God's word into your life and you become an embodiment of the word.

Action point
  • Father, I receive grace to study&meditate on God's word In Jesus Name.
