TESTIMONY IS SCRIPTURAL

Psalms 105:[1] *Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. [2] Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds* ( NLT).

Recently, I read the post of someone who opined that sharing testimony is not scriptural neither  is it in the bible. He said it was an invention of the church.  I understand he was trying to sound politically correct but he missed it scripturally.

Testimony is simply telling people about the wondrous acts of God in our lives. This could be done in a church setting or to individuals. I know that certain testimonies are not to be shared publicly but  privately, yet that doesn't nullify the concept of testimony.

The opening text is a command not a suggestion. We are to let the whole world know what he has done. We are to tell of his wonderful deeds. The world may not know the greatness of God If not shared.

Sharing the gospel to unbelievers especially about the how we have received forgiveness, justification and eternal life is the biggest testimony the world must hear. When old timers want to share testimony, the first thing you'll hear them say is "I want to thank God for the salvation of my soul". That trumps every other testimony.

Salvation, eternal life and redemption are big testimonies the world must hear about. It is worth testifying about always. The sinner must hear about you were freed from the coming destruction and how he can be a partaker of redemption.

You can share to friends, families and the brethren what the Lord has done. How he preserved, provided and wrought miracles in your life. This will stir the faith of others to believe in God's miraculous power.

Gradually, we are seeing the rise in the number of people who doubts the miraculous. A testimony that can be confirmed will make them change their mind.

A testimony shared  with someone today may be all the person need to hear for his faith to come alive to receive a miracle.

Action Point:

You don't have to wait to be in a church gathering before sharing your testimony. Testimony shared one-on-one is valid as the one shared publicly.
