ANAGKAZO

Luke 14:23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. NIV

Jesus told the story about a man who prepared a feast. He sent invitation to several guests but they refused to come. This man told his servant to go into the street to compel people to come to the banquet. The Greek word "Anagkazo" was used in vs 23 as compel. Anagkazo mean to compel, constrain or to use entreaties. In matters of soul winning, God is expecting us to "Anagkazo" souls into the kingdom. That we failed at it yesterday doesn't mean we won't succeed today.

A young man who once fixed cable t.v. for me practiced "Anagkazo" on me and my wife. Any time he comes around to work for me, he'll find a way to tell me about his prophet. He has a strong faith in this prophet and his ministry to the point where he'll spend productive hours talking about him. On some occasions, he told me to watch the live telecast of his prophet. He didn't have the message of God's grace to tell the world, he doesn't emphasize Christ and his redemptive work on the cross yet he has a way of compelling people into error pointing them to a mere mortal. How much more those of us that have the true message of the kingdom.

This is not the time to keep silent. Get on the streets, go to the villages, and tell the world about the redeeming power of this Jesus Christ who died and resurrected. In 2Kings 7:9, those lepers said, "Then they said to each other, "What we're doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once and report this to the royal palace". Brother, today is the day of good news, don't keep it. Jesus is coming soon and we must win as much as we can to the Lord before he comes. Let's " Anagkazo" them into the kingdom.

Action point

Father, I receive the grace to devote myself to the great commission like never before in Jesus name.
